At Goodwinds Composites we provide high quality, custom wrapped composite tubes and rods for a wide range of applications. Through the use of resin pre-impregnated cloth materials, such as carbon fiber, fiberglass, and kevlar, and a mandrel forming process, our tubes are wrapped under tension and then specially cured in ovens to ensure long-lasting performance. Our roll-wrapping process can handle tubes with outside diameters as large as 2", inside diameters as large as 1-7/8", and lengths up to 9'. From wood dowels to reinforced rods, we understand how to wrap tubing with unidirectional fiber, twill weave, high modulus carbon fabric, and mixed fiberglass/carbon configurations.

Wrapped composite tubes are widely used for drones, ski poles, drive shafts, and robotic arms. We regularly build custom mandrels according to exact specifications in order to satisfy any dimensional requirement for a tube or rod. We can adjust stiffness and wall thickness characteristics through custom fabric layups. Our facility is equipped to support practically any production capacity, from low volume runs to blanket orders. Using state of the art manufacturing methods, our wrapped composite tubes provide an economical choice for small-sized batch orders as well as pre-production samples. In addition, we're able to offer secondary services along each phase of the manufacturing process including center-less grinding, chamfering, drilling, milling, and sanding.
